Today it announced that it has signed a deal with Warner Music Greece to sell their digital downloads catalogue which holds one of the largest catalogues of international music.
Under this new agreement, a selection of Warner’s repertoire will be included in mpGreek’s digital download service. All Warner Music’s repertoire will be served centrally by mpGreek directly to its users and will be protected with digital rights management software (DRM). A large variety of repertoire and music genres (Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Jazz and more) will now become available for digital downloads on the Greek web. Artists that Warner represents which will now be available on mpGreek include a wide range of classics such as: Madonna, Red Hot Chili Peppers, R.E.M., Led Zeppelin, Doors, Eric Clapton, Eagles, Green Day, James Blunt, Enya, Cher, Frank Sinatra, Cream and many others.
For the first time in the Greek music industry, mpGreek will offer Warner’s Music Videos for download. The music video downloads are part of its new service “mpGreek Videos” and will be introduced with a retail price of € 2.00 each. The video clips are in windows media video format (wmv) and are also protected by Windows Digital Rights Management (DRM).
