Alan Parsons worked his way up through the engineering ranks at the celebrated Abbey Road studios, working on Beatles albums and later solo works for Paul McCartney and George Harrison. This lead to work with The Hollies (He Ain’t Heavy He’s My Brother and The Air That I Breathe amongst others) and to Pink Floyd’s legendary masterpiece The Dark Side Of The Moon, which earned him the first of many Grammy nominations.

Moving in to producing he worked with Pilot (Magic), Cockney Rebel, John Miles and Al Stewart (Year Of The Cat & Time Passages) before joining forces with songwriter / manager Eric Woolfson to found The Alan Parsons Project. They released their debut album, Tales Of Mystery And Imagination in 1976 and went on to have a string of best selling albums and occasional hit singles through the 70’s and 80’s.

In the early 90’s Alan and Eric decided to go their separate ways and in 1994 Try Anything Once, the first album billed just as Alan Parsons, was released to great acclaim and was followed by two further albums in the 90’s.

A Valid Path is the brand new Alan Parsons studio album. As ever Alan has collaborated with a diverse and exciting group of musicians to push his songs into new areas. Guests on the album include Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour, Uberzone, Shpongle and The Crystal Method. There are even vocal contributions from John Cleese and the late Orson Welles.

The Alan Parsons Live Project will be touring Europe with a show combining classic Project tracks with material from the new album in autumn 2004 including dates in Switzerland, Holland, United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Germany and Greece.

Alan Parsons Live Project will perform in Athens and Salonica at October 9th and 10th.

October 9, Gagarin 205 Live Music Space, Athens
October 10, Entehno Fix, Salonica
